This is my first creation in a 3D modeling space. I chose to make a frisbee since Ultimate has been a large part of my life for the past 10 years. It wasn’t terribly hard to get the hang of, but doing the fillet on the underside proved difficult just due to the size of the object I was trying to make, and I had to accept that it wouldn’t be a perfect rendition since it was my first time using this software. Tools like this would be very useful for various artistic endeavors, and it seems like it would be especially helpful for scenic designers, as they can build a model of the scene in a blank space with no material cost. My tip for other novices is to be patient, and if something doesn’t work, take a step back and try again. Don’t be afraid to experiment, and fail doing said experiments.
This looks really cool. I play frisbee so I decided to pick your object to comment on. I think that making a frisbee is really hard but you did a good job as I knew it was a frisbee at first glance. I suggest that if you were to do it again to use a plastic material. I think that using a plastic material would bring it to life as your frisbee looks as though it is made of metal.
