Thorpe Pool 3D Model: Team Charter

Shared Values

We are graduating soon, and the time might come soon when our current Thorpe Pool will be torn down or rebuilt. We would like to preserve this piece of history of the Carleton swim and dive team. Also, by using Matterport, we could tell stories of individual aspects of the facility, such as the Spock cardboard cutout and the record board.

What will you expect from each other?

We should all put as much effort as we can toward communicating with each other and contributing to each step of the project. There are a lot of moving parts with what we aim to do, and it will require each of us to understand everything we need to do and be up to date with everything.

How will you communicate?

We are roommates, so we will likely communicate just in person and via text.

How will your team handle disagreement?

We will go with a majority vote in disagreements.

How will you divide responsibilities?

Here are the steps we need to take to complete the project:

  • Take photos of the pool deck (also in the pool, if we have time)
  • Make a 3D model using Matterport (or alternative)
  • Make story points: record board, Spock, diving board, Hour of Power/Ted Mullin, stands, power racks, Gerald Young/Andy Clark offices, water polo closet
  • Embed model into a website
  • Create a story map on website

We will likely work on each step together, as we think that separating the tasks between us would lead to confusion and inefficient work.

With the value of teamwork and friendship, we have no weaknesses.
