The modeling of this was a little difficult to figure out. There were a couple of features where I had to explore fusion 360 or search the web for. For example, the loft and patch features.
At one point while modeling, I was really frustrated with a feature called project. I figured out how to project a sketch onto a curved object; however, I couldn’t figure out how to patch the new sketch and change its appearance. This was the case for the black oval like shape seen in the front profile of the AirPod Pro. It is not properly projected onto the AirPod.
I had to make a compromise lofting the two sections of the AirPod together. The center connecting portion is not entirely true to life, but it was the best I could do at the time.
One technique that was really useful for me was having the model right in front of me so that I could easily conceptualize what I would needed to do in Fusion 360 to create a realistic model.
The level of detail in the shape of the AirPods is impressive, and while I could maybe guess how you made the cylinder-type shapes for the stem and bud, I’m curious how you made the curved piece that connects the stem and bud, it looks like a complex curved shape. Very well done!
