Here is the link to my midterm project, where I looked through the locations of the various scenes in Uncanny X-Men issues 200-249 to show the lack of usage of non western countries, despite a portion of the comics being set in a fictional island country off the coast of Africa.

I really like these graphs! When I first read what your project was about, I was expecting the writers to use more fantastical locations more often because why wouldn’t they? Comic books are inherently goofy, and setting them in more crazy locations is, in my eyes, an easy way to make them more fun. In hindsight, I do agree with you that seeing so many of them set in the USA is unsurprising.
