I created three maps of showing the birthplaces of artists who were born between 1930 and 1949, whose work from 1980-1989 is in the Tate Gallery Collection, and the number of pieces they have in the gallery.

Wow – this project is really thorough and I commend you on creating three such visually appealing and functional maps. I also explored the Tate artist data set, and at one time I’d hoped to incorporate data from the Tate artwork data set, so it’s cool to see someone else use the same data to reveal such intricacies. I think it’s also really neat how you spent so much time on the cleaning and formatting of your data, and how you were able to pair it all down to such a specific data set. I chose to focus on Italian artists as opposed to the entire set, but I also noticed the glaring majority of English artists, and your heat map confirmed my initial findings which was satisfying. Really well done, this is impressive work!
